In this signature photograph, Michael Prezioso KDØKYA "is on the attack". Not all our activities and events are "serious" ones - such as sending hundreds of $ of equipment up into near space and hoping to get it all back ok after the balloon stack lands .... in a swamp, up a tree!

Rick Brennan KØBR has been working with Dr James Flaten and the University of Minnesota Space Grant Consortium since 2008, assisting in tracking near space balloon payloads using APRS.

Subsequent to our successful ODYSSEY I near space flight and the recovery of our CUBE still camera platform and APRS tracking pod, we made some alterations to the internal mountings and soldered connections for the APRS radio and its antenna connections, stabilizing them more substantially.
It was time to do some field testing.
